Autumn Arboretum Hike
Join Hikerkind Hike Club and Windthrow for an easy afternoon hike through the Washington Park Arboretum. Start your morning at 11:00 am with a cup of Elm Coffee Roasters at Windthrow in Capitol Hill, where you can meet your community and grab any gear you may need for the season. At 11:45 am we’ll all carpool to the Arboretum where you’ll head out for an easy 3.4 mile hike, enjoying changing colors of fall foliage and identifying plants. Spend this Saturday in the botanic beauty of an autumn day at the arboretum.

For public transportation from Capitol Hill to the Arboretum take the Route 8 bus from E John St & 15th Ave E to E Madison St & 27th Ave E or the Route 11 bus from E Pine St & 15th Ave to E Madison St & Lake Washington Blvd and walk to the trailhead from here.
The Washington Park Arboretum hike is 3.4 miles with 174 ft of elevation gain. This hike's difficulty is easy and will take 1.75 hours from start to finish with a 30 min lunch break. Dogs are allowed on leash, and carpooling is highly recommended. This is the final Washington chapter hike of the '23 season.
This hike’s spotlight organization is Women’s Wilderness, which supports girls, women and LGBTQ+ people in accessing their power and improving their health through connections to the outdoors and community. You have the option to donate to Women’s Wilderness when registering to attend this event.
This trail is located on Duwamish, Suquamish, Muckleshoot, Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla Native Lands.
