First of all, the fit. The freaking fantastic fit. I used the size chart and the reviews to gauge size before ordering (reviews suggested pants runs a little looser). I ended up getting a medium ( I am medium/large cusp in hikerkind sizes). Then I trialed the pants during a weeklong remote Alaska trip. I bushwhacked thru devil’s club and cow parsnip. The only wear and tear that was visible to my eye was after I used a cedar plank as a table across my thighs—some light pilling occurred but nothing terrible or even terribly noticeable. Cooking and grass stains washed out no problem. Air dried quickly.

Love these pants!

I love the 8 pocket pants! I have the 01 version as well -- this newer version is a different fabric (lighter, a lot drapier) and they are larger in the waist by about an inch + have a much longer inseam. Thank you to an earlier review that pointed this out, it was super helpful! The older version's M is just on the verge of too tight on me, so this version M is perfect. So comfy!

I prefer the newer version's fabric between the two but I did hem the pants myself a couple inches. I'm 5'3, and had to hem up into the Hikerkind embroidery on the leg.

LOVE the 8 pocket pants

These pants fit like a dream. They are perfect for the trail--love all the pockets and they keep me dry on a foggy hike. The length is just right with hiking boots and also hold a cuff when you want to roll them up. The drape of the fabric is wonderful and sooo comfortable. Purchased the blue ones---great color! Please consider some more fun colors, maybe a happy green, rich ochre, or even a tasteful orange? So stylish on and off the trail.

Absolutely love these pants

Absolutely love these pants. Very flattering fit up top, relaxed fit through the legs. Fabric is stretchier and drapier than expected so i think they’ll be comfy to wear in many seasons. I did need to hem them about 1.5” but that’s just personal preference to make them come up a little above my hiking boot as a 5’3”
