Hikers and Former Fashion Creatives

Hikerkind was co-founded by Chelsea Rizzo and Allison Levy, two hikers and former fashion stylists. Allison and Chelsea met while working on a photoshoot for Gucci and bonded over their mutual love of the great outdoors.

Allison has been an avid hiker since childhood, exploring trails worldwide. Chelsea was new to hiking until she thru-hiked the Colorado Trail in 2018 and planned to hike the Pacific Crest Trail in 2020 before the pandemic hit.

During quarantine, Allison grew frustrated with the lack of functional and stylish women’s outdoor apparel. She approached Chelsea to bring an idea they had been discussing to light.

In June 2021, they launched Hikerkind, aiming to redefine women’s outdoor apparel with their innovative and thoughtful approach.
