Refund policy

Holiday Returns Extension (Seasonal Policy)

Orders placed between November 15 and December 24 are eligible for an extended return window. These items may be returned or exchanged through January 8 (instead of our standard 30 days).

All other return eligibility criteria still apply — items must be unworn, unused, unwashed, have no marks or scents, and include all original tags and packaging. Final sale items remain final sale during the holiday period.

General Returns and Exchanges

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after your item is fulfilled to request a return.

We have a 30-day size exchange policy, which means you have 30 days after your item is fulfilled to request an exchange for the same item in a different size only.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with no marks or scents, with tags attached and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return or exchange use our Returns Portal. If your order is eligible for return a shipping label is generated via a return confirmation page. This will also be sent via email, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Refund, Exchange, or Store Credit. If you are returning multiple items you can choose different outcomes for each item (e.g. refund item A, exchange item B).

The Edie, Scrap Scrunchie 01, Trail Cap 01, and Water Bottle 02 are final sale - not available for exchange or store credit. Archive Sale items (Performance Base Top 01, Performance Legging 01, Performance Base Shorts 01, Trail Trousers 02, Trail Shorts 02, Trail Sun Hoodie 01, Ultralight Trail Dress 01, Venture Skort 01, Venture Camp Shirt 01, Kick Flare Trousers 01, Cotton Pullover 01, Cotton Jogger 01, Midlayer 01, 8 Pocket Pants 01) are final sale - available for exchange or store credit only. 

Damages and Issues

We offer Route Package Protection to safeguard your order in the event that it is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. Route Package Protection is automatically applied to your order at checkout, but it is always 100% your choice and easy to opt-out of. To opt-out, simply switch the toggle in cart or at checkout. 

Please note that if you opt out of Route Package Protection, Hikerkind is not responsible for items lost, damaged, or stolen during transit. If you did purchase Route Package Protection and your package encounters any issues in transit, please visit Route's Portal to file a claim.

Please inspect your order upon receipt. In the event that your gear arrives defective or if you receive the wrong item, please email us as soon as possible at shop@hikerkind.com with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to evaluate the issue and make it right.

Please note The Edie's are made from vintage scarves and you should expect some variance and levels of wear. They are sold as is. 

Exceptions/Non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned. We do not accept returns on The Edie, Scrap Scrunchie 01, Trail Cap 01, and Water Bottle 02 are final sale. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item at shop@hikerkind.com .

Memberships are final sale. Annual memberships can be canceled anytime after purchasing, but you will still be charged for the full year fee. Monthly memberships can be canceled anytime after purchasing but you will be charged for the remainder of the month you purchased. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on archive sale items or gift cards.

At this time we can not accept returns for international orders. 

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected we will notify you if your return is accepted or declined. This process can take up to 10 business days from the date your return tracking information shows delivered.

If your return is accepted you’ll be automatically refunded for the full order amount on your original payment method. If your return is not accepted for any reason (i.e. tags removed, damage, stains, rips) we will reach out to notify you and send back your item.

Please remember it can take up to 3-5 business days for your bank or credit card company to process and post your refund.

Store Credit

When submitting a return request you have the option to select Store Credit instead of returning for a refund. If you opt for Store Credit you will receive an additional 5% bonus credit. This will automatically be issued to you in the form of a Gift Card via email once your return has been processed.

Please note that if you opt for Store Credit for a return this is not reversible. If you use the Store Credit to make another purchase and end up returning that purchase, your refund will go back to the payment used which was the Store Credit. We cannot go back and refund the actual Store Credit itself from the original return of the first order that you opted to get Store Credit for. So please be sure that you would like Store Credit instead of a refund to your original payment when making a return since this cannot be reversed or changed. Store Credit expires one year from the date it is issued and cannot be issued again if you forget to use it.
